A Word for 2020
Understanding the importance of the Times and Seasons we are in in the Hebrew calendar gives us great insight into what God is doing for us on our Gregorian calendar 2020.
This year is remarkable in that our calendar is aligned with God’s calendar.
For example, in Genesis 8:5 it reads, “The waters continued to recede until the 10th month and on the first day of the 10th month the tops of the mountains became visible”.
The 1st day of the 10th month, Tammuz, in the Hebrew calendar is 23 June.
Genesis 8: 6: “After 40 days, Noah opened the window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth .... verse 8 “Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground but the dove could find no place to set its feet because there was water over all the surface of the earth and so it returned to Noah in the ARC. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark”.
That day was Saturday 1st August.. (The dove represents the Holy Spirit of God or, as Jesus called Him, “The Comforter” ). So we can say, that the God of all Comfort released his Holy Spirit again over the earth on 1 August 2020.
The Torah portion for that week included Isaiah 40 “Comfort ye Comfort ye My people ”. On 4th August an explosion shook Beirut harbour in Lebanon killing and maiming hundreds and hundreds of people. God speaks, from His Word that week “Comfort ye Comfort ye my people”.
Genesis 8 verse 10 says “He (Noah) waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ARC. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf. Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth”.
That day coincided with Saturday 8th August in our calendar. And so we can safely say that the dove of peace was released again over the earth last Saturday but even more interestingly was that the Peace Agreement between UAE, USA and Israel was signed on 13th August that very week.
Verse 12: “He waited seven more days, (15 August) and Sent the dove out again but this time it did not return to him.” This is a NOW moment in history...
Joel 2:28.
The Day of the Lord
28“And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days”.
Are you ready Church? “Here He comes ready or not”.
